Moleskin Chenille

A fine short-pile chenille brushed until the surface goes matte and powdery, closer to moleskin or brushed suede than to a woven cloth. There is no rib and no pattern; all the interest is in the way the nap shades lighter and darker as it turns.

Because the nap shades, a large flat panel will never look like a single colour. On a headboard or a deep-buttoned chair that is exactly what you want. On a simple box cushion it can read as uneven, so cut those all in the same direction.
