Long straight vertical lines in dark pewter metallic thread on a deep slate linen ground, unevenly spaced, a few of them crossed by short horizontal ticks. It is the most severe panel in the range and the one that suits a plain wall best.
Thread and ground sit close together in tone, so the drawing only comes forward when light rakes across it. That is intentional: from the doorway it is a texture, and up close it is a set of marks.
